2021: Re-Focus
Where does your hope lie? What do you put your trust in? These are the quintessential questions of our day, and how you answer them reveals something very important. Over the last year, we have faced obstacles that have shaken our very foundations in many ways, but it has also thrown back the curtain to show who really sits on the throne of our hearts. That’s why we kicked off the year with our Refreshing Times Devotional Series. It has helped remind each of us of the only secure place to put your trust – Jesus.
It’s through Christ that God made a way for us to have relationship with Him, and He beckons us to step into a deeper walk of intimacy. So, I encourage you to lean into God this year. Silence the negative influences in your life and surround yourself with things that are good and holy. Things that lift you up and draw you more into His presence. There you find rest. Remember that He alone has all authority. He hears our prayers, and His heart is to see you prosper.
My challenge to you this year is to take up the Word of God. Make it part of your everyday. Let it be life-giving bread. Find quiet time to be alone with the Lord. Listen for the Lord’s voice. Strengthen your sprit man by fasting and seeking the Lord’s guidance. Let your hope rest solely and confidently on Him. And most of all, love God wildly, fearlessly, and boldly.
