Letter from Joni Lamb: January 2017

I love the fresh feeling that comes with a new year! A time for goals, hopes, and dreams. A time to refocus and reassemble some of the broken pieces from the year before. A time to start again, to rise above and conquer.

If you’re feeling like it’s too late for you to experience better things, it’s not! God says in Joel 2: 12-13, “Even now, return to me with all your heart. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, and abounding in love.’”

If you’re feeling like God’s forgotten you or His plans for you, He hasn’t! Proverbs 19:21 says, “The Lord’s purposes will prevail.” And my favorite Scripture, Jeremiah 29:11, reminds you that the Lord has plans to prosper you, not to harm you, and that He has a hope and a future for you!

It’s a season of new beginnings. Just like a caterpillar gets a fresh start as a butterfly, it’s time for all of us to experience new heights found in His love, compassion, and mercy. I pray blessings over you as you embark on this great adventure!

Happy New Year!
Joni
